The regularly scheduled November meeting was held on the 6th. All Officers and Board members were present except except Steve Arnold. Also attending were several club members and guests.

Treasurer's Report: A copy is posted on the bulletin board.

Dan Valerius will begin the Sunday Night League on November 12th at 4:00 pm. This is a target face league. Great for sharpening your archery skills.

The Thursday Night League will be starting shortly. This will be a 3D league with the targets set up slightly closer than the Tuesday Night League. This will accommodate more traditional shooters, however, the league is open to everyone.

The Annual TRAD shoot will be held on Saturday December 2nd 2006. Check the calendar for specifics. Like last year, a Lies and Fries evening will follow the shoot.

2007 Triple Crown: First leg of the 2007 Triple Crown will be held Friday night, January 26th and Saturday the 27th. The second leg of the Triple Crown will be held Friday night, February 23rd and Saturday the 24th. Third leg of the Triple Crown will be held Friday night, March 23rd and Saturday the 24th. Flyer will follow at a later date.

The Access Yes shoot will be held April 24th and 26th. These are regular Tuesday and Thursday Night Leagues. All proceeds that are collected will go to the Wyoming Game and Fish “Access Yes” program. The Access Yes Program allows hunters access to private lands.

The CFA Rabbit Shoot will be held February 17th. Details to follow.

CFA Annual Banquet will be held at the club on January 6th at 6:00 pm. The meat will be provided by the club. We ask that members with last names beginning with A-M to bring a salad/covered dish and those beginning with N-Z to bring desserts. We hope to see all of you there. This is your opportunity to speak out and to elect the members that will represent you on the board for 2007. There is a nomination sheet posted at the club, sign up the person(s) who you believe will represent you the best for 2007.

Prior to the Annual Banquet, the Club will host a sporting goods swap mmet from 12:00 to 4:00 PM.

Bowhunters of Wyoming (BOW) annual winter banquet and meeting will be held March 16, 17 & 18, 2007 at the Holiday Inn in Thermopolis, WY. The guest speaker for this event will be Fred Eichler.

Joel Meena, BOW area representative, reported that the BOW will be presenting three proposals to the Game and Fish on November 16th in Sundance. First proposal is a Statewide antelope opener of August 15th. Second proposal concerns Archery Only (type 9) elk tags in limited quota areas. Third proposal asks to extend deer seasons in a number of areas.

SNOWY RANGE BEAR REGULATIONS: There will be a public meeting December 5th (7.00 PM) at the Game and Fish Regional Office in Laramie. The regulation being proposed is to open the Snowy Range Bear Area to Rifles September 1st. For those of you who bow hunt, this means there will be rifle hunters out there hunting bears while you are elk/deer hunting with your bow. Joel Meena and Neal Perkins have offered rides to anyone interested in going to the meeting to protest this proposal. If you hunt in the Snowy Range area this is a meeting you should attend. If passed, this change will last at least three (3) years.

There is a sign up sheet posted at the club for the Big Game Awards. If you have harvested Big Game with your bow this year, please write down your name and the animal(s) taken so that you can be recognized at the Annual Banquet for a successful hunting season.

Photos of any archery event, archery hunting or club functions are needed. Please email the photos to the webmaster found at www.cheyennefieldarchers.com.
